Lisa Carter is a Tennessee Licensed Optician who joined our staff in January, 2015. Lisa has over 30 years experience in the Optical industry, serving in various roles such as sales associate, regional trainer for a national chain, general manager, franchise owner and consultant to the small dispensary owner. Lisa holds certifications from the American Board of Opticianry, The National Contact Lenses Examiners and is an active member of the Tennessee Dispensing Opticians Association.
Lisa's approach to eyewear dispensing is simple - "I believe there is an element of trust that patients place in our practice and our expertise. My goal is to earn that trust every day - every patient - every time. The most important skill an Optician can have is the capacity to listen and really understand what vision challenges the patient is facing. Most of the time I see my role as an educator - I love to offer information to my clients, help them make their selections and then present them with a finished product that provides the clearest vision possible. Yes, eyeglasses are the vehicle, but for me, it's always been about facilitating vision - there is nothing more rewarding than helping people to see."
